Hi, I’m Wendy.

For years, I was the woman who could handle almost anything.

I raised my boys as a solo mum, built and ran a successful business, solved problems, made decisions and created a life I was proud of.

But relationships were different.

Somewhere along the way, I would lose pieces of myself. I’d find myself walking on eggshells, making myself smaller and putting his needs ahead of my own and working far too hard keep the relationship happy.

The frustrating part was that I knew I was doing it.

I thought I understood the red flags. I thought I knew what I would never tolerate again. Yet somehow, knowing better didn’t always translate to doing differently.

When my engagement ended, I decided not to rush into another relationship.

Instead, I gave myself something I hadn’t really given myself before: time and space to focus entirely on me.

I recovered. I rebuilt. I learned to implicitly trust myself and my intuition again. I learned to understand the ways my body communicates with me. I started digging much deeper into the patterns underneath the choices I had been making - not simply who I had chosen, but why I behaved differently inside my relationships that I did everywhere else in my life.

What began as a relationship breakup recovery became one of the most valuable periods of my life.

I became fascinated by the unconscious mind, the nervous system, survival responses and the ways our past can continue to influence our choices long after we think we’ve move on.

That journey led me to train in clinical hypnotherapy and Neurolinguistic Programming.

But something else happened too.

I got to know myself without the noise of a relationship. I discovered how capable, powerful and genuinely love the woman I am. I became clearer about how I wanted to show up in my life and what I would do differently in my next relationship.

That experience became the inspiration for Becoming You.

I wanted to create the space I wish I had: a place for women to understand themselves before the next relationship begins - to recognise their patterns, rebuild trust in themselves and learn how to stay connected to who they are when someone new eventually enters their life.

Because the goal isn’t simply to choose a different relationship.

It’s to enter it as a woman who no longer leaves herself behind.

1 IN 4

Australian women have experienced emotional abuse by a current or former co-habiting partner.

63%

experienced emotional abuse from a previous partner, 63% experienced controlling social behaviours.

73%

experienced emotionally abuse by a previous partner, 73% experienced anxiety or fear.

Emotional abuse isn’t always obvious. It can look like humiliation, intimidation, coercive control, financial control, isolation, and monitoring - behaviours that gradually undermine a person’s autonomy and sense of safety.

FAQs

Is Becoming You a trauma treatment or therapy program?

No. Becoming You is a coaching program, not a trauma therapy, talk therapy or psychological treatment.

The program helps you understand how your body and nervous system respond to triggers, recognise the patterns happening beneath your conscious awareness, and begin noticing them as they happen.

Because when you can see the mechanics of the pattern at its trigger point, you can’t unsee it. Awareness gives you the opportunity to interrupt what you’ve always done, build new skills and make different choices.

Do I need to be single to join Becoming You?

Yes. Becoming You has intentionally been designed for women who are currently single.

Being single gives you the space and freedom to focus on you - without trying to change yourself while simultaneously navigating the dynamics of an existing relationship.

This is an opportunity to really get to know you, understand your patterns, rebuild trust in yourself and become clearer about what you want before your next relationship begins. So when you choose to connect with someone again, you can do it differently - without leaving yourself behind in the process.

What happens in the 90-minute group session?

Each week we come together for a 90-minutelive group coaching session focused on that week’s Becoming You topic.

I’ll guide you through the concepts, help you explore how they may be showing up in your own life, and guide you through practical exercises to put what you’re learning into practice.

There will be time for questions, discussion and coaching, but you choose how much you share. You’ll never be expected to disclose personal experiences or tell your story to participate.

How do I know Becoming You is right for me?

If you are single and find yourself repeating the same relationship patterns, Becoming You may be for you.

You don’t need to know why you do what you do. That’s what we’re here to uncover.
