Tired of Attracting the Wrong Men?
Break the Patterns. Start Creating the Relationships You Actually Want.
TRUST YOURSELF · BECOME YOU
You know the pattern.
It starts with chemistry, connection and possibility. And then…
Somewhere along the way, you start making excuses for his bad behaviour and ignoring things that don’t feel right or giving more than you’re getting back.
Eventually…you go from being confident to walking on eggshells…
You find yourself replaying conversations, wondering if you said the wrong thing, apologising when you’re not even sure what you did, watching his mood and trying to keep the peace. You justify your boundaries or perhaps you let them slide. You make excuses for his behaviour or question whether you are overreacting.
You start second guessing instincts you would normally trust. You tolerate things you once never would. You make yourself smaller. You lose connection with your own voice and, little by little, start disappearing inside the relationship.
You promise yourself you’ll choose differently next time. But somehow, the same relationship keeps showing up in a different man.
You tell yourself you should know better by now.
But, what if…knowing better was never the problem?
You can know exactly what a healthy relationship looks like. You can know all the red flags. You can even promise you’ll never ignore them again - and still find yourself repeating the same patterns.
Because knowing happens consciously. But not every response you have in a relationship begins there.
Long before you consciously decide what to do, your brain and body can be responding to what feels familiar, what once kept you safe, or what they have learned to expect from connection.
Perhaps what looks like a relationship problem may actually be a pattern.
What if you could uncover the survival patterns driving your relationships?
Survival patterns are unconscious ways of adapting, connecting and staying safe.
They’re not character flaws or signs of weakness- they’re strategies people learn in response to their experiences.
What once helped someone feel safe can quietly continue to shape their relationships long after they are needed.
And everyone knows, what can be learned can be changed.
We learn to survive by adapting.
Somewhere along the way, we learned to change ourselves to feel safe and stay connected. But in trying not to lose others, we can slowly lose ourselves.
And sometimes, the ways we learned to survive follow us into our adult relationships.
01
Abuse or Trauma
Perhaps there was violence, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, coercion, intimidation, manipulation or experiences that made home or other places feel unsafe.
Survival can look like freezing, appeasing, staying quiet, disconnecting from feelings or learning to tolerate behaviour that doesn’t feel right.
02
Chaos or Unpredictability
Maybe moods changed without warning. There was fighting, addiction, instability, explosive anger, separation, or simply never knowing what version of someone would walk through the door.
Survival can look like reading the room, anticipating other people’s moods, keeping the peace, walking on eggshells and becoming highly alert to the smallest change in someone.
03
Emotional Neglect
Sometimes nobody was overtly cruel. But comfort, affection, protection or emotional support simply weren’t there when they were needed.
Survival can look like hiding needs, becoming fiercely independent, struggling to ask for help or accepting emotional distance as normal.
04
Conditional Love and Approval
Love or approval may have felt easier to receive when you good, successful, helpful, agreeable - or didn’t cause too much trouble.
Survival can look like people-pleasing, perfectionism, over-giving avoiding disappointment and measuring worth through other people’s approval.
05
Growing Up too Soon
Perhaps you became the responsible one - the helper, caretaker, mediator, emotional support person or the one everyone can rely on.
Survival can look like over-functioning, taking responsibility for everyone else, finding it difficult to receive and feeling safest when you’re the one holding everything together.
It’s time to become You.
Create the relationships you actually want.
Hi, I’m Wendy
I help women who are tired of repeating the same relationship patterns understand what’s driving them, change how they respond and create the relationships they actually want.
I know this pattern personally. For years, I could build businesses, solve problems and take care of everyone around me - yet in relationships, I repeatedly lost my voice, connection to myself and believed somehow I was the problem.
That led me to study the unconscious mind and human behaviour, and ultimately become a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master NLP Coach.
Becoming You Studio grew from everything I have learned personally and professionally - that when we understand the patterns driving our behaviour, we can begin to change how we respond and so we can choose differently.
The Becoming You Program
A 12-week coaching experience to help you understand your patterns, change how you respond and create the relationships you actually want.
